This is the image for the news article titled SRHS Implements 90-Day Action PlanAmong the many positive changes occurring at Salt River High School, school leaders implemented a 90-day action plan in mid-August to improve three priority areas: climate and culture, curriculum, and instruction.

This plan, implemented on August 19, was announced and reviewed by the SRHS Site Council and the SRHS Parent/Teacher Advisory Committee over the last two months. Both groups meet monthly; the Site Council meets the first Thursday of every month and the Parent/Teacher Advisory Committee meets the third Thursday of every month. For more information about these meetings, contact Alvin Saenz at 480-362-2085.

A PDF of the plan can be downloaded by clicking here; highlights are noted below, but the PDF includes root causes to the challenges seen at the high school in addition to a step-by-step action plan and timeline to meet the desired outcomes.

For more information about the 90-day action plan, contact SRHS Principal Emily Niu at 480-362-2000.

90-Day Action Plan

The 90-Day Action Plan serves as a road map that provides clarity to specific priorities and actions that are most important during the next 90 days. The plan will help ensure the focus of all stakeholders toward an aligned understanding of the implementation and progress of our school’s school improvement initiatives.

PURPOSE OF THE INITIATIVE
SRHS will become a school of excellence that cultivates high student achievement for all students and is the school of choice for our Community. We will move our school label from an “F” to a “D” or better. During the summer we will create action steps to continue our growth in this effort.

Desired Outcome: Instruction will be of high quality and aligned to state standards that engages all students.
