Salt River High School is excited to again offer summer school programming!

Click here to download the SRHS Summer School Registration Form, which is due no later than Friday, May 10.

Don't forget to enroll your junior or high school student at SRHS for Fall 2019 (click here for enrollment forms - school starts August 5). 

Salt River High School Summer Program 2019 Offerings: 

HIGH SCHOOL REMEDIATION
For students who were in grades 9-12 during the 2018-19 school year. 

Students will have the opportunity to recover credit through in-person (ELA) or online learning (math, social studies, science) courses. Students must have previously attempted the course they are signing up for in summer school (demonstrated on their transcript).

Students will work individually or in small groups with a highly qualified content teacher. Students can register for one morning session course and/or one afternoon session course. Each course is worth 0.5 credits.

  • Dates: Monday-Thursday, June 3-27
  • Time: Morning Session 8 a.m. to noon; Afternoon Session 12:30–4:30 p.m.
  • Offerings: Based on the student's transcript, the student will be placed in the appropriate course(s).
  • Bus transportation is available to students who reside in the Community.


SERVICE LEARNING

For students who were in grades 8-12 during the 2018-19 school year. 

The Service Learning program will connect students with their Community through meaningful service projects.

The program will empower students to work as a team, problem solve, and become agents of change. Participants will explore the Community Garden to investigate how traditional gardening techniques are used to sustain plant life in the desert.

  • Dates: Monday-Thursday, June 17-27
  • Time: 12:30–4:30 p.m.
  • Bus transportation is available to students who reside in the Community.


JUNIOR HIGH BRIDGE

For students who were in 6th or 7th grade during the 2018-19 school year.

This program will introduce soon-to-be 7th graders (and 8th graders new to SRHS) to the various logistics and expectations of being a new junior high school student at SRHS.

  • Dates: Monday-Thursday, June 17-20
  • Time: 8 a.m.  to noon
  • Bus transportation is available to students who reside in the Community.
